Ipsos is located on the Greek island of Corfu. It is one of the busiest resorts on the island, with good nightlife. Many of the bars and clubs are open until 4 or 5 AM. While some other resorts on Corfu are quieter, Ipsos is definitely suited to those seeking to party.

Ipsos has excellent beaches and clear, calm waters. The resort has been awarded a Blue Flag for the quality of its beaches. Inland there is beautiful countryside and quiet villages to explore. Getting around is not a problem. There is a good bus and taxi service between the resorts and the capital, Corfu Town, and car hire is available.

Corfu can be quite cold in the winter. July and August, on the other hand, can be extremely hot (30º and over). If you intend to be very active in the daytime it might be worth visiting in the cooler months.

A range of apartments and hotels are available in Ipsos. The resort is popular and can be crowded in the high season, but on the other hand there is a lot of accommodation available. Many hotels have additional facilities such as swimming pools. Most hotel pools can be used for free, even by visitors not staying at the hotel.

Ipsos is very cosmopolitan and offers a range of eating places to suit all tastes. It is not difficult to find English, Mexican, English and Chinese restaurants; some of which are quite big and can cater to large parties. Traditional Greek cuisine is of course also easily available, and eating follows the typical Greek pattern of a late lunch (after 2PM) and dinner very late (often after 10). Local food is good value for money.

Activities

The nightlife in Ipsos is very good. Indeed, it is the reason many people come to Corfu. Many visitors spend their entire holiday lying on the beach and partying in the town's many bars and clubs. There is more to Ipsos than that, though.

Ipsos and the surrounding area offer a wide range of water sports including water skiing, sailing, paragliding, canoeing and scuba diving. Boat trips are also available to take you elsewhere on the island or exploring around the coast.

A little further afield, Dassia has some good shops plus more bars and restaurants if those in Ipsos aren't enough for you. Corfu Town has a number of museums and historical attractions including a small but very good archeological museum and a museum of ancient art.

Exploring inland, Corfu has beautiful scenery and wildlife to discover, along with picturesque villages where you can see the traditional way of life unfolding as it always has.
